Mission Statement

Our hope is to develop people with a good heart, through a positive environment of music learning. GPSA strives to enrich the lives of children through the Suzuki approach to music instruction.

The Suzuki philosophy is based on creating a positive environment through which children can learn. This requires strong emphasis on the involvement of the family and learning in a combination of private and group settings. Positive encouragement, step-by-step improvement, development of strong listening and memory skills, and building upon learned repertoire are cornerstones of the philosophy.

We strive to keep raising the quality of Suzuki music teaching and the quality of children's abilities.

Teacher workshops, master classes, informal sharing of ideas, access to videos and teaching information, and assistance through the Suzuki Association of the Americas help teachers improve their teaching skills.

Students participate in a variety of activities with others from a wide geographical area in events which motivate interest and raise musical standards.

We have five levels of sponsorship, as detailed on the attached commitment form. You can select the level of participation that best meets your needs, and be secure in the knowledge that your sponsorship fee will be used to help the GPSA fund vital music programs for the children and families in the community. As a GPSA sponsor, you’re letting the community know you are more than the goods or services you provide.

As a patron, you are making a statement that, especially in this time of continued funding cuts, you recognize the difference the arts play in the life of a child. We’re counting on your support, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Please help us as we work to continue Dr. Suzuki’s dream of creating beautiful people with beautiful hearts through music!

Thank you in advance for your willingness to support the efforts of the GPSA and make a difference in our community.
