Jennifer Crowell Stomberg, cello, previously held positions as principal cellist of the Illinois Symphony and Chamber Orchestra, Quincy Symphony (Illinois) and North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. Other orchestra experience includes the Albany Symphony (New York), Tulsa Philharmonic, Delaware Symphony and Houston Ballet Orchestra. In addition to chamber music performances at the Killington Chamber Music Festival in Vermont and the Chautauqua Institute in New York, Ms. Stomberg has been a member of the Silver Bay String Quartet since 1989. As a committed teacher and registered Suzuki instructor, she has held teaching positions at Oral Roberts University, Texas Music Festival and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Ms. Stomberg received her Bachelor of Musical Arts degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan and her Master of Music degree from Rice University. Suzuki teacher training with Gilda Barston, Carey Beth Hockett, Carol Tarr, Pam Devenport, Sally Gross, Grace Field, Alice Vierra, Nancy Hair, and Jean Dexter. Ms. Stomberg serves as core master faculty with special distinction (Suzuki Cello) at The Music School of Delaware in Wilmington and Dover. She is married to University of Delaware Cello Professor Lawrence Stomberg and has three children.
